Donations enable Nassau County Council on Aging (NCCOA) to provide programs and services that not only foster independence, but also help seniors remain active, valued members of the community. In 2022, NCCOA continued our mission of helping seniors live happy, healthy lives:

      • Nutrition Support – Our Meals on Wheels and congregate meal programs provided 45,208 meals to seniors throughout Nassau County
      • Advocate Home Healthcare – Our in-home program provided 22,000+ hours of services for homebound seniors
      • Transportation – NassauTRANSIT made 52,018 trips throughout Nassau County with a fleet of 23 vehicles
      • Adult Day HealthCare – Our program for seniors needing assistance due to cognitive or physical limitations, “The Club,” features a full slate of therapeutic activities and respite for caregivers
      • CHORE – NCCOA’s small home repair program helped ensure that 278 seniors remained independent at home through wheelchair ramps, grab bars, rails and other services
      • Volunteer Program – We recruited close to 300 volunteers who provided 10,274 hours for an in-kind value of more than $308,000

Join us in 2023 as we grow bigger and better for our Greatest Generation!
