The Home Health Department of the Nassau County Council on Aging seeks a Home Health Assistant in the Fernandina Beach office. This a full-time, Monday-Friday position with normal hours of 8:00 am – 5:00 pm. Occasionally, the hours may vary slightly and some overtime could be required.
The Home Health Assistant is the office manager of the Home Health Department, a fast-paced environment. The Home Health Assistant ensures that all scheduled home visits are completed as mandated by the members care plans. The Home Health Assistant prepares schedules, maintains attendance records, and reconciles time sheets. The position assists the Home Health Supervisor with Home Health staff office visits and phone calls.
Requirements include: MS Office proficiency; excellent writing, verbal, and interpersonal skills; and the ability to comprehend logistical problems involving multiple variables.
Experience in scheduling, billing, and customer service required. Some logistics.
The position reports to the Home Health Supervisor.
A Level 2 background check is required. Zero tolerance drug/alcohol workplace.
Start date: as soon as possible. Compensation: $11.00 to $12.00 per hour, depending on experience.
